Psst! Ever been told you can’t read this book, watch that movie, go on that website? Did adults say it was too scary? Or not appropriate? But you still want to do it?
Welcome to THE CENSOR – a show by kids, for you and your adults – where you get to decide what to do.
THE CENSOR invites audiences from 10-100 to a special island where the usual rules don’t apply.
Here, the kids are in charge.
They make the decisions and are free from grown-up influence about what’s good for them and what isn’t.
Unexpected, unfiltered, uncensored.
Supported by ArtPlay and in collaboration with theatre-makers Vidya Rajan and Cassandra Fumi, a dynamic ensemble of young people aged 10-16 explore the censorship of their media consumption, how this affects who they are now and who they might be in the future.
Presented by ArtPlay and Melbourne Fringe. Produced by Performing Lines.
