Drawing inspiration from Fauvism – an early 20th century art movement that emphasised vibrant, expressive colour – artist Evie Cahir’s dynamic and atmospheric works capture the vitality of nature and the emotional impact of colour. Colour as a vehicle for emotional and spatial awareness forms the core of her large-scale abstract works on paper and acutely observed representational drawings, both of which come together in this immersive and luminous installation. The exhibition encourages viewers to cultivate a contemplative engagement with their surroundings, and is a direct outcome of Cahir’s experience as a Billilla Studio Artist in 2025.
