Silver Stripes
Matilda Hillam
Silver Stripes celebrates resilience, playfulness, hidden beauty. Chronic illness has made Matilda a champion for the undervalued, reframing the discarded, the broken, the overlooked as treasures in an unorthodox practice that sits between protest and celebration: confessional, messy, irreverent… Matilda claims her grey hair proudly: she has earned her stripes.
Silver Stripes will open alongside our other exhibitions: Resonance by Katrina Barter and Holding up the Sky by Brenda Goggs.
Don’t miss the opening of these fantastic exhibitions on Thursday 19 February, from 6-8pm.
