- What publishers want from authors in terms of self-promotion.
- What kind of promotion authors can expect from publishers.
- Exemplars: authors using social media in really smart ways.
- A section on media training, including creating safe boundaries once you’ve put something personal out into the world.
- Which kinds of posts don’t get much engagement and which do (with lots of imaginative examples).
- Switching up your content from static to dynamic.
- Creating an alter ego and cohesive-looking brand.
- Avoiding spamming in favour of creating an engaged community.
- Using Canva for design.
- How to edit reels and other kinds of videos.
- Public speaking tricks and ways to overcome nerves.
Expected Learning Outcomes
In this seminar, participants will:

- Feeling more comfortable with public speaking
- Understanding what publishers and media expect of you
