From the classic methods of sculpture to the intricate details of the human anatomy. This 10 week  course offered every Monday from 10am – 12:30pm at the Victorian Artists Society, will offer you the tools to build a 1:1 human head, neck and upper torso.

Starting from a ball of clay, we will work on a step by step process to sculpt an imaginary character with the head movement of your choice.

Smiling, crying or completely still, this course is a great opportunity to learn how the face is built, how the facial expressions work, along with the basic study of hair.

“The eyes are the window of the soul”. Walking into Jean-Antoine Houdon’s steps. The the Iris sculpting will give your sculpture it’s life by selecting either clear or dark eyes.

A complete course to allow everyone to start the sculpting portrait’s journey.

This workshop is taught by Hugues Scheid, also known by the pseudonym H, a French sculptor hailing from Reims in Champagne. Directly inspired by eminent French and Italian sculptors, his education sensitized him to human anatomy, busts, and portraits.
