Sam Jinks || Mortal Reflections marks the first major exhibition in Tasmania by this talented artist — a rare opportunity to encounter a collection of sculptures not typically accessible to the public.
Known for his extraordinary craftsmanship and ability to evoke quiet yet powerful moments, Jinks’ practice reflects upon deeply felt instances of our lived experience.
QVMAG has transformed the entire upper level of its Royal Park site into an intimate contemporary art experience, bringing together 15 works that represent the largest collection of Sam Jinks works ever seen in one place.
Throughout this exhibition, magical figures are held forever suspended within the uncanny realms of Jinks’ sculpted hyperrealism.
Imbued with unguarded emotion and raw vulnerability, Jinks’ work invites viewers to contemplate the beauty, fragility, and mystery of the human condition.
