The 2025 Salon des Refusés will be coming to Petrie Terrace Gallery on Friday, 10th of October! The Brisbane Portrait Prize is all about celebrating Brisbane portrait artists and their sitters, while encouraging public engagement with the arts. The Salon des Refusés provides further opportunity for artists who enter the Brisbane Portrait Prize, as the gallery features works selected by Salon Judges from the works not selected as Finalists in the Brisbane Portrait Prize.
On Friday, 10th of October at 7pm, join us at Petrie Terrace Gallery for the Salon Gala Night! At this event we will announce the winning artworks, and the evening will also include live entertainment, canapes and nibbles, and your first drink is included in your ticket!
We will then be hosting an afternoon of Wine, cheese and artist talks! Find out more about the works on display and the story of the artists behind them. First drink is included in ticket price. Cheese and nibbles will be provided. The wine and cheese afternoon will be held at Petrie Terrace Gallery on Saturday, 25th of October, running from 2pm to 4pm.

The Salon des Refusés will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Friday, 10th October to Sunday, 2nd November 2025.
