Join artist MeiMei Hodgkinson for an intimate beading workshop where you’ll breathe new life into a cherished textile item – be it a vintage handkerchief, a beloved tablecloth, or a piece of an old garment.

Together, we will explore the art of embellishing your chosen textile item with beaded texts and phrases, infusing personal narratives and meaning into each stitch. This workshop weaves words into the everyday, transforming the familiar into unique expressions of story.

Participants are required to bring along a cherished textile item which will be embellished in the workshop.

Cost: $30pp, bookings essential.

MeiMei Hodgkinson is a finalist in the Ellen José Art Award for young women, on display at Bayside Gallery from 25 October – 14 December.
