Recognising yourself in a lineup
Messengers Youth Program
‘Recognising yourself in a lineup’ is an exhibition by participants from Messengers, which is a visual arts based program for vulnerable youth. Their artworks are based in pop culture and have become metaphors and vehicles to explore queer identity, gender diversity, intergenerational trauma and their lived experiences of mental illness.
Recognising yourself in a lineup will open alongside Testamur 8 by Canberra Art Workshop, and
Echoes of Nature and Self by Smitha Dudaga.
Exhibition opening event: Thursday 27 August 2026, 6 – 8pm
Gallery opening times: Wednesday to Sunday, 12 – 5pm
