Musician and storyteller Ilan Kidron will perform songs from his latest album ‘SWIMMER’, an album born from love, loss and the long journey back to the surface. The songs flow like water through different languages and genres, sometimes surging, sometimes barely rippling, carrying stories of memory, grief and fragile hope.
MC Miriam Hechtman will be in conversation with Ilan and the open mic session on the theme of WATER will provide an opportunity for you to share your work.
Iian Kidron is a Sydney-based singer songwriter with over one billion combined streams, best known as the lead singer for Australia’s multi-platinum selling dance music act The Potbelleez. Kidron has worked with artists such as Kygo, Rita Ora, Ricky Martin, Chance The Rapper, Hayden James, Chris Brown, Tommy Trash, B.o.B, Sesame Street Paul Mac and Sam La More and publishing/production companies Universal Music Publishing and Norway’s Dsign Music.
Poetica Petit is held at the Cultural Hub, below the Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf. This special night of words and music is an intimate affair for attendees, with Poetica MC Miriam Hechtman making it a memoriable night of music and poetry. The open mic section provides the enthusiastic audience participation each time.
