Bunjil Place is gearing up to host our biggest FREE outdoor event ever! With live music, vibrant cultural performances and open-air cinema, Open Space at Bunjil Place will be your new summer Saturday ritual in 2026.

Kicking off Saturday 7 February from 6pm and continuing for six weeks, Open Space will be home to legendary Aussie performers, including Kutcha, Cash and the Last Drinks, synth pop heroes Pseudo Echo, iconic Melbourne soul-funk trio Cookin’ on 3 Burners with Stella Angelico, Golden Guitar award winner Andrew Swift, and powerhouse vocalist Wild Gloriosa.

But that’s not all. With locally based internationally acclaimed veena virtuosa Hari Sivanesan, a performance of the breathtaking Lion Dance on Poles and the screening of cult classic 1955 sci-fi horror film Tarantula, Open Space offers an unforgettable night, under the stars in the Bunjil Place Plaza.

Bring your picnic rug, grab dinner from a food truck or pack your own and settle into a great night out with family and friends. Open Space will be the place to relax, dance and discover something new.
