SHAN HAI JING《山海经》is an ancient Chinese text filled with strange creatures, shifting landscapes, and worlds where the boundaries between human, animal, and spirit constantly dissolve.
One & Only? is a short experimental performance that draws directly from the imaginative force of SHAN HAI JING, treating it not as a story to be retold, but as a living source of energy, imagery, and possibility.
The work explores multiplicity, transformation, and coexistence through movement, atmosphere, and visual presence. Bodies appear, overlap, fragment, and re-form — echoing the logic of SHAN HAI JING, where difference is not an exception, but the natural state of the world.
This showing is part of the ongoing development of One & Only?, sharing an early glimpse into a world shaped by SHAN HAI JING’s expansive imagination.
