Create 2–3 finished landscape artworks in a single day while learning techniques you can confidently continue using at home.
Discover how to create moody, atmospheric landscapes in this immersive one-day workshop focused on charcoal and mixed media techniques. You’ll learn how to work with charcoal alongside ink and acrylic, exploring layering methods that add depth, texture, and expressive quality to your drawings.
Throughout the day, we’ll cover key principles of composition and show you how to build strong, dynamic landscapes from start to finish. You’ll experiment with a range of techniques designed to expand your creative approach and refine your charcoal skills.
Landscape reference images will be provided for you to work from. If you have a special place or scene you’d like to draw, you’re very welcome to bring your own reference images along.
Some prior drawing experience is helpful, but not essential. The workshop is designed to be supportive and offers personalised guidance for all skill levels.
💬 What Others Are Saying…
“Love her work! Jody is one of my favourite artists and humans, and one of the best art teachers and mentors I’ve had. Her students run the full gamut of skills, interests and ambitions, and yet Jody manages to tailor her teaching to make sure that everyone gets what they need to develop not just as artists, but as artists with their own unique voice. And that’s no mean feat. She really has changed my life. Can’t recommend her highly enough. “

“I have attended many of Jody’s workshops. I can’t get enough! She is full of inspiration, generous with her knowledge and expertise, and helps you find artistic bones inside of yourself you didn’t know were there. If you want to enjoy creating art and explore exciting new ways to express yourself, you really should go to one of Jody’s workshops.”
