For Angharad Neal-Williams, new exhbition ‘Moments In Between’ began as a form of visually timekeeping and diarising the everyday to acknowledge familiar imagery, items and scenes from her daily life working in the public realm.
Through this meditative documentation process, Neal-Williams commenced noticing ‘in between’ moments and their value. This series of work depicts these moments through subject matter that is reflective of the freelance artist’s experience of daily life. By displaying these works in the public realm, Angharad aims to encourage viewers to reflect on how we individually and collectively experience shared spaces whilst enabling less seen moments to be reclaimed and celebrated in public spaces.
Unashamedly feminine and vibrant, the works use of colour and imagery seem overwhelming and overpowering due to their lack of focal point, however endeavor to provide space for these feelings in an attempt to reflect on how women can often feel overwhelmed and overpowered within public spaces.

Angharad Neal-Williams is an illustrator based in Naarm/Melbourne. Her distinct style combines line drawing with vibrant colours to create thoughtful, playful and optimistic outcomes. Angharad’s drawing practice acts as a form of timekeeping through diarising the everyday in the form of familiar imagery, items and scenes from daily life, giving time and space to fleeting moments. Angharad works as a muralist, centring her practice around feminising public spaces and enhancing the safety of shared spaces through large scale mural installations that champion vibrant colours and warm, optimistic imagery.
