Maroondah Festival is calling for performers for its 2026 event.
One of Maroondah’s biggest community celebrations, Maroondah Festival is a free, family-friendly day out featuring live music, thrill rides, Kids Kingdom, food trucks, market stalls, come-and-try sports and much more. We’re looking for talented performers across all disciplines to bring the festival stages to life.
Why perform at Maroondah Festival? Maroondah Festival draws over 30,000 people across the day, giving you a stage in front of one of the biggest crowds in Melbourne’s east. Whether you have a quick five-minute set or a full hour of material, there’s a spot for you, from headline slots on the Main Stage to roving performances that pop up throughout the day. It’s a fantastic chance to build your audience, connect with the local community, and be part of a much-loved Maroondah tradition.

What we’re looking for We welcome applications from singers, dancers, magicians, sporting demonstrators, roving/busker-style entertainers, and anyone with an engaging short talk or activation to share. Set lengths are flexible, from short bursts to full hour-long performances. We’re programming across four stages, each with a different focus, so let us know which suits your act best:
- Main Stage – all ages, headline-calibre acts
- Kids Kingdom Stage – content and performers focused on children aged 0-12
- Community Stage – acts, groups and demonstrations from within the Maroondah City Council area
- Emerging Cultures Stage – multicultural performers and groups
We’re also seeking busker-style and roving entertainment to perform informally around the festival site throughout the day.

- Performance type and genre/style, and which stage (or roving) you’re applying for
- A short bio and links to video, audio or social media so we can see you in action
- Group size (solo, duo, ensemble, etc.) and set length
- Whether you are based in the Maroondah City Council area
- Any technical or staging requirements (instruments, sound, space, costumes)
