Ever wondered how two writers can share one story and one deadline, without losing their minds (or their friendship)?

In this panel discussion, bestselling co-authors Ali Berg and Michelle Kalus (authors of romantic comedies The Book NinjaWhile You Were ReadingFancy Meeting You Here and Love Overdue) and co-founders of book sharing initiative Books on the Rail, will discuss the creative emotional and practical sides of co-authoring a book. From dividing (and merging) creative tasks to navigating edits, contracts and egos, you’ll learn how to collaborate successfully and joyfully.

Whether you’re planning your first joint project or refining an existing partnership, this session will help you find your co-writing rhythm and turn two voices into one amazing story.

Michelle and Ali will discuss, among other things, how:

To develop a clear, collaborative process for co-writing fiction

To divide roles and responsibilities to play to each writer’s strengths

To communicate and edit effectively with your co-author

To handle creative differences and feedback productively

To pitch and promote your work as a co-author team

This seminar will take place online via Zoom.
