Discover artworks by ten talented Western Australian artists in the region’s most exciting new gallery space.
The Invitation Art Prize is one of WA’s most exciting celebrations of contemporary art, offering a $25,000 prize to a standout professional artist. Since 1998, it has championed more than 700 artists and brought bold, thought-provoking works to the community – from exhibitions in shopping centres to major gallery showcases.
In 2025, the Prize enters an exciting new chapter with ten acclaimed Western Australian artists – Tom Blake, Sam Bloor, Bruno Booth, Erin Coates, Sarah Elson, Tim Meakins, Sherry Quiambao, Andy Quilty, Anna Louise Richardson and Tyrown Waigana – unveiling brand-new works spanning painting, sculpture, photography, print, installation, video, and interactive art.
An independent judging panel will choose the winner of the $25,000 acquisitive prize, looking for a work that not only stands out artistically but also connects with the Joondalup community. The winning piece will join the City of Joondalup’s Art Collection, becoming part of its story and identity.
Be among the first to step inside the Joondalup Contemporary Art Gallery and experience a milestone moment for the City.
The Invitation Art Prize is free to attend and open 10am to 4pm, every Thursday to Saturday from 16 October until 13 December.
