Opening Event Thurday 16 April from 6pm
A selection of ink drawings on recycled ‘Dodgy’ paper exploring Melbourne. Focussing on the dodgy or unloved parts of the city, ranging through all areas from the suburbs to the CBD.
What remains of the back streets, the alleys, the old buildings found in our wonderful city? From a seedy back alley, to a soaring cathedral, an old train crossing or a new vision of a telephone pole, these works illustrate the beauty and interest found in the ignored, forgotten and overlooked parts of Melbourne. The paper used for these works has been created from my old, unwanted drawings, workshop pieces, sketches and failures. These drawings are creating something new and transforming discarded paper into drawings of endurance.
