Dive into the world of vinyl DJing with Her Spin on Things, a welcoming community run by seasoned vinyl DJs that encourages women and women-identifying people to connect, learn and share their love of music. Inspired by a passion for records, storytelling and community, Her Spin on Things creates accessible pathways into DJ culture while fostering confidence, creativity and connection.
Whether you’re a skilled DJ, a curious beginner, or love discovering new music, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to play and mix records using turntables, needles and basic mixing techniques. Participants will gain practical knowledge through hands-on learning and are invited to bring and play records from their own collections.
Alongside the workshop, participants will learn about and taste a range of small-batch wines made with grapes grown in Orange and Mudgee by Samantha May Wines. Enjoy plenty of bright fruit, slinky acid, a little bit of textural work, spice, minerality, and elegance.
This event is proudly presented alongside the exhibition Girly in Manly at Manly Art Gallery & Museum.
Tickets are limited.
