Hands Of Creation

A Group Exhibition Celebrating the Spirit of International Mother’s Day

Palangi Gallery is proud to present Hands of Creation, an impactful group exhibition honouring the creative spirit of Persian women artists in celebration of International Mother’s Day. The exhibition will run from May 15 to June 7, 2025, showcasing works that explore cultural identity, heritage, and the deep connections between creativity and womanhood.

The opening will occur on Thursday, May 15, at 6:00 PM. Hands of Creation

will feature a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, and other mixed-media works, all unified by a central theme: the belief that

“Women make the world more beautiful with their artistic hands, clear minds, elegance, and pure hearts.”

Curated by Sydney-based artist and Palangi Gallery manager Farideh Zariv, this exhibition serves as a heartfelt tribute to women’s transformative power through art. Each piece echoes personal and collective stories, highlighting themes of heritage, resilience, beauty, and the feminine voice in contemporary artistic practice.

“This exhibition celebrates the powerful creative influence women bring to the world.
It offers an artistic journey and a heartfelt tribute to the hands and hearts that continue to shape our cultures and communities. A woman’s dynamism lies in her hands, for they reflect her creative thinking and enlightened heart, hands that give life to art.
Each work echoes personal and collective stories, touching on heritage, resilience, beauty, and the feminine voice within contemporary artistic practice. Through art, this exhibition honours women’s transformative power in the world.” Farideh Says

Our guest of honour is artist Lea Ferris, who will officially open the exhibition on Opening Night and celebrate this special occasion with us.

“Lea Ferris studied sculpture for five years with Tom Bass (1992-1997). Initially modelling in clay and casting in plaster, resins, or bronze, she now works primarily in marble in her Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia and Pietrasanta, Italy studio. “
