This major new body of work showcases Goompi’s most powerful large-scale pieces, featuring his distinctive visual language rooted in Kombumerri culture. Each painting carries a hand-written story on the reverse, offering deep cultural insight and artistic generosity. These stories will be displayed for the first time alongside the works.
As Goompi prepares for upcoming international appearances and exhibitions, including the National Museum of Australia’s Connection – Songlines tour, Curumba Mareeba marks a defining moment in his practice.
Collectors and curators are encouraged to view the exhibition early — works are selling fast.
