Join us for the opening of Zeina Kara Ali’s exhibition Arches Memory in the Dragon’s Lair Gallery at Hurstville Museum & Gallery.
Zeina’s work is intrinsically linked to her childhood, with memories of the architecture and culture of Lebanon. Memory, beauty and culture are hallmarks of her work, with her paintings reflecting her feelings of nostalgia towards her home country. Zeina captures the beauty of Lebanese traditional houses focusing on the triple Arch – a world of sunshine and light, of colour both subtle and vivid, of authenticity and legacy.
Through her works, she attempts to draw attention to the unique character of the Lebanese towns amalgamating the old with the new by capturing a passage in time with characteristics of the present.
