Ecologies of Attention by Nadège Philippe-Janon is an installation of oscillating, pendulum-like mechanisms built from everyday materials and activated by simple systems. Building on the familiar hypnotic legacy of the pendulum and the idea that screen addiction is akin to a state of hypnosis, the works also use movement to evoke shifting perspectives.

In an era of increasing climate anxiety and accelerating technological change, Ecologies of Attention offers playful prompts to slow down, tune into the body, and consider the forces that shape attention and perception.
