Desert Mob brings together hundreds of artists to celebrate desert art and culture in the heart of Australia. One of the nation’s oldest Aboriginal art festivals, Desert Mob features the renowned Desert Mob exhibition, artist talks and presentations, an art marketplace, and a broad public program of events throughout Mparntwe (Alice Springs). From the Opening Night celebration to evening curator talks and demonstrations, Desert Mob is a vibrant celebration of the art, stories, cultural connection and vitality of hundreds of artists across central desert Country.
Desert Mob Opening Night – Thur 11th September
Join artists and art centres for the official opening of Desert Mob 2025. Featuring guest speakers and live music, the much-anticipated annual Desert Mob exhibition will open to the public showcasing over 30 art centres. Attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to acquire works prior to the exhibition going live online from Friday 12th September.

Desert Mob Artist Talks is a day of presentations and performances led by art centres and special guests sharing stories of culture, community and country.

The Desert Mob Marketplace is a buzzing art market offering the opportunity to acquire various works directly from artists and their art centres. View and purchase paintings, ceramics, punu, weavings, sculptures, textiles, clothing, jewellery, homewares and more from Aboriginal-owned art centres across Central Australia.
