About the exhibitions

Post-extinction huia soundings | Sally Ann McIntyre

This exhibition explores the calls of the extinct huia bird. The artist plays musical notation of huia calls on 19th century audio technology at sites where the bird was spotted, observing how living birds respond to a vanished voice, highlighting relationships that have existed for millennia.

Requiem in Power (RIP) | Gabrielle Skye Nehrybecki & Olive Guardiani

Grounded in material, ecological, and existential concerns, this collaborative exhibition by Gabrielle Skye Nehrybecki and Olive Guardiani memorialises local trees that were torn down to build a solar farm.
