Colquhoun | Hansell – Hawkesbury Two highlights work from Hawkesbury City Council’s cultural collections and celebrates two artists who have lived, worked, and found lasting inspiration in the region.
For more than fifty years, Enid Colquhoun and Greg Hansell have been central to the Hawkesbury’s cultural life, both through their creative practices and their advocacy for a vibrant artistic community.
This exhibition brings together a selection of their works on paper, showcasing the distinct yet complementary ways each artist responds to the Hawkesbury. Colquhoun’s atmospheric etched landscapes, rich with drama and depth, sit alongside Hansell’s gentle and serene pastel renderings of familiar buildings and streetscapes. Together, these works reveal their shared commitment to depicting the character of the region and their enduring contribution to its cultural story.
