Dive into a bold and joyful exploration of colour in Colour Crush – a hands-on workshop designed for young people and adults. Using mixed media, participants will explore colour theory, emotional expression and pattern play in a fun, supportive environment. From iconic palettes to unexpected clashes, you’ll investigate what colour tells us – and how we can use it to tell our own stories. With a personal art sketchbook, sticker and tote bag to take home, you’ll continue your creative journey through colour long after the workshop ends.
Activities in this workshop include –
- Painting a watercolour grid pattern to watch how colours interact
- Using permanent markers and rubbing alcohol to make blooms of colour on a tote bag
- Combining oil pastels and watercolours to unlock amazing colour combos
- Cutting and pasting with hand-painted papers to create a collage of your own individual colour palette
No experience needed, just curiosity, creativity and a crush on colour.
All materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a painting smock or clothes for messy play.
This wokshop will be held at Ipswich Art Workshop.
