Platform Arts welcomes you to the official opening of Collective Mothering, curated by Dr Amber Smith.

Collective Mothering brings together artist-mothers whose practices explore care, kinship, and communal continuity. Through new commissions, existing works, performance, and publishing, the project considers how acts of mothering shape our relationships with ourselves, our families, our communities, and the world around us.

Proceedings:

2.00PM—5.00PM: Official opening celebrations, with access to The Grotto (II) and Family Collage Space drop-in art-making space.

2.30PM—2.50PM: Exhibition formalities and Collective Mothering Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 publication launch.

3.00PM—4.00PM: Live performance of Rock Mass Communitas, by Emily Bowman & collaborators, in the Performance Space.

Light catering will be provided. Complimentary drink on arrival.

This opening event is free to attend, but registration is required.
