Join this unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the Camerata Orchestra as conductor Doug Heywood OAM takes the orchestra through a rehearsal and introduces the group to the audience. See the instruments up-close and personal, ask questions and learn all about the different pieces as they prepare for performance.
Get a rare insight into a working orchestra’s final rehearsal and learn more about the music you’ll be listening to! This event is suitable for music afficionados, students, families and children.

Presented in partnership with Boroondara Arts in the grand surrounds of Hawthorn Arts Centre’s Main Hall, the iconic Camerata Orchestra celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special presentation of iconic repertoire for music afficionados, students and families alike:
- Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro
- Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in Bb major, D485
- Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 (Pathétique Symphony) in B minor, Op 74
