Brunswick Music Festival returns 1–8 March for a massive week-long celebration of live music, art installations, pop-ups, free events and so much more. Produced by Merri-bek City Council and curated by local legend MzRizk, Brunswick transforms into a “smorgasbord of sound” centering on the creative community and the diverse voices that define the area.

Sydney Road Street Party: the festival kicks off on 1 March with four stages spanning surf-punk, South African jazz, and Turkish classical. Expect roving performances, cultural storytelling, family-friendly activities and more at this iconic event.

International Headliners: featuring Japanese hip-hop beatmaster DJ Krush (7 March), Cretan folk from the Xylourides (3 March), French disco icon François K (7 March), USA’s multi-disciplinary propagandist and self described anti-format DJ Harem (5 March) and the spiritual jazz of Ganavya (3 March).

Unique Collaborations: Crown Ruler and Research Records pairs Alfi Antico & Go Dugong with Khaled Kurbeh and RAFET at Brunswick Ballroom on 5 March. Rita Bass headlines a multi-sensory journey ‘Eternity is a Terrible Thought‘ presented by Dreamache on 4 March.
- Gilpin Park: will come alive on 8 March with a free huge concert closing the festival, featuring Fred Leone X Radio For Ghosts, Allysha Joy, Cool Out Sun, Jace Clayton and Pirritu.
- Neighbourhood Noise: celebrating Arts Merri-bek partners and the creative pillars of Brunswick. Counihan Gallery, Brunswick Library, Next Wave, Balam Balam Place and Blak Dot Gallery will activate spaces with live performances, activities and interactive installations on 7 March.
- Venues 3056: live music locales Howler, The Retreat, Jazzlab, The Bergy, Bar Spontana, Co Conspirators and more will offer up something a little bit special for Brunswick’s very big week.
