Held on Saturday August 23rd, Breaking Gags offers two sessions (6:30 PM and 8:30 PM) where audiences will experience the raw, unfiltered process of comedy creation. Dr Jason Leong, a former medical doctor from Malaysia, is currently developing his third Netflix special. With a reputation for sharp social commentary and worldwide acclaim from shows across the US, UK, and Asia, his comedic voice is as global as it is personal.
Joining him is Xavier Susai, the creative force behind Grassroots Comedy, which runs hit events like the Leederville Comedy Club, Experimental Comedy Club, and Cap Off Comedy. Known for his honest, unpredictable style and relentless work in building Perth’s independent comedy scene, Susai brings his newest ideas to the stage for a no-holds-barred trial run.
