Beyond the Palette is a journey that moves beyond the visual, inviting all peoples to connect, celebrate and learn. It’s not just colour- it’s emotion, storytelling and a powerful way of sharing culture through art. Our artworks are rooted in our connection to Country, self, family and community. Each symbol, each animal and each mark honours our family, our ancestors and voices that were not always fully heard. As Jazz and Kristal Matthews of Wilay Designs, we create with cultural pride, passion, and purpose- inviting all to connect, reflect and empower one another through this shared journey.
‘Beyond the Palette’ will open alongside ‘Imagining here from elsewhere’ by Olivia Gates, and ‘See What I See!’ by NatureArt Lab.
Exhibition opening event: Thursday 24 September 2026, 6 – 8pm
Gallery opening times: Wednesday to Sunday, 12 – 5pm
