A 10 week, beginner friendly, watercolour course held every Wednesday morning 10am -12:30pm at the Victorian Artists Society.

This watercolour class is intended to be a warm and friendly environment, aiming to provide a series of exercises and demonstrations designed to extend students’ understanding of the techniques of watercolour at each stage. New information will be added progressively so that previous techniques are retained and improved through continuous exercise. In this course you will expect to:

Expand your knowledge in painting with washes, layers and brush techniques
Apply techniques to keep watercolours transparent and beautiful while considering tone and light/shadow
Develop your ability to tackle different subjects while becoming comfortable with the medium
This class is best suited for beginners with a little experience in watercolour.

This course is taught by artist Nathalie Anne, a creative who is passionate about painting, drawing and sculpting. Nathalie is a friendly and supportive teacher who runs both the beginner watercolour class & our weekly life drawing sessions at VAS Gallery.
