Assembled from across Australia, this special concert showcases the emotional and orchestral brilliance of Australia’s finest high-school classical stars. Under the baton of Singapore’s Chan Tze Law, this talented young orchestra will travel on a journey of discovery, with works that trace a path of emotional depth from romantic awakening to spiritual reflection to sense of place. The journey begins with Naomi Dodd’s Run, a vibrant celebration of youthful energy and momentum before Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet sweeps us into a world of romantic passion and tragic beauty. Syafiqah ‘Adha Sallehin’s Awakened blends tradition and innovation in a spiritual reflection while Elgar’s In the South concludes with a radiant portrait of Italy’s grandeur. Come along with our young musicians on this musical journey of discovery.
