The Queensland Figurative is a non-acquisitive art competition that celebrates the dynamic role of the human figure in visual art. Open exclusively to artists residing in Queensland, this competition seeks paintings where the human form is not merely present but clearly integrated into and an important part of the overall composition of the work—whether through literal depictions or more abstract interpretations. Artworks must be painted in Oil Paint, Acrylic (or other water-based media), Mixed Media, Pastel or as a digitally painted image.
Entry form due: Wednesday 25th of February, 3:30pm
Entry fee: $50 per artwork
Prize pool to the value of $11,500!
The exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Thursday, 9th of April to Sunday, 10th of May, 2026. at Petrie Terrace Gallery.
