An emerging contemporary artist, Anthea Vayonitis works with dance and meditation practices to create gesturally embodied immersive paintings. “In the silence between our heart beats” is an activation of works that includes the same titled 1.7 x 15m painting that was channelled whilst on a residency in July-August of 2025 in the Blue Mountains at Loaf Gallery, formerly known as Landslide. This progressive painting and body of work cascades as a visual journal of her time spent in Wentworth Falls. Anthea connected with the breath-taking nature of the sacred land of the Barkindrji river people and Gundungurra people. Anthea painted her connection to energy through lyrical abstraction and sensation that was found in the metaphysical energies in the earth and specifically the birdlife that consumed her during her stay in the Blue Mountains. This work is accompanied by tufted paintings that ground the avian energies, through bulbs, sunlight, and landscapes of the elemental spirits of earth, water, air, fire.

Avian Consciousness in Flight, an avian consciousness, a winged geometry echoing with vibrational intelligence, weaving songs of energy through spirals, waves, and multidimensional grids. The spirals at each end are feathers of ascension, charting the soul’s flight inward and outward, always returning to Source. Zigzags and waveforms ripple like wings mid-beat, awakening the central chord, unlocking codes hidden in bone and breath.
Layer upon layer moves like wind currents, etheric, astral, physical flowing together in interdimensional flight. Dots and curves are sky-beacons: nodes of intent pulsing across space, as in cell into cell. At the heart, a spiral sun the galactic nest radiates light codes. Infinity loops glide like eternal flight paths, connecting mind to higher skies. Colours in harmony, rhythm golds of solar wisdom, greens of forest breath, violets of crown-lit skies, all in harmony, all in motion, all in flight. Golden grids shimmer like a lattice of sky-bound feathers, the Matrix of Form, unseen but always present, holding the divine architecture of becoming.
