Make a necklace and a pair of earrings with your own hands and skills. This workshop is for people who have wondered if they can make something for themselves, but don’t want to invest in all of the materials to do so. In this two hour course you will enjoy the process of making your own jewellery out of air dry clay. Air dry clay is porous and once dried can sealed with matte sealant and given a scent with your favourite essential oils.
Air dry clay is convenient, cheap and light weight. This experience will help you feel more confident in creating your own jewelry at home. Or just enjoy the process or mark making, colour mixing and patterning. Once finished pieces will take one-two weeks to fully dry. With a full waterproof sealant air dry clay pieces can last for years and remind you of the fun times you spent making them.
Tickets can be purchased through the ticket link at Eventbrite. If there are still seats available tickets can also be purchased on the day. This course is a great price due to council grants and our sponsors. This course is delivered by the artist for free as a community service and all proceeds go to help the Beachmere Art Festival with overhead costs and insurance.
Tickets cannot be purchased for children due to the use of knives and small parts. However older children and teens can attend with the ticket purchaser. Please keep in mind when purchasing that this event is not designed for kids, but for adults. We are happy to provide a safe inclusive space for those who are differently abled. This course is accessible for wheelchairs, however we would like to inform anyone with mobility issues that there is a drop sheet that will be on the floor of the art room during the event.
