Boehme out and Martin in as YIRRAMBOI changes Creative Directors

The sudden dismissal of Creative Director Jacob Boehme, and the speed with which he was replaced, has left some in Melbourne’s arts sector scratching their heads.

No explanation has been offered for the abrupt dismissal of respected Aboriginal artist and arts leader Jacob Boehme, who last week was removed as Creative Director of YIRRAMBOI, the City of Melbourne’s First Nations arts festival.

The new Creative Producer, Caroline Martin, was announced today (Monday 5 November).
