The former rail bridge of the Sandridge line was last used by trains in 1987. In 2006 it was transformed into a pedestrian bridge with public artwork by Nadim Karam.

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival will see a temporary structure built from recycled materials transform the southern end of the bridge into ‘The Immersery: Festival Kitchen Bar and Raingarden’.
