Controversial hot-air artwork Skywhale has Canberra residents asking what a giant mutated whale has to do with their centenary.  

When Canberra decided to commission an artist to build a work to mark the City’s 100th birthday not many would have imagined a giant hot air balloon in the shape of a mutated whale bearing teats but then again artist Patricia Piccinini has always been good at getting tongues wagging.
