Western Australian theatre stalwart John Milson has died from cancer, aged 75.

John Milson, the theatre director who established the famed musical theatre course at WAAPA, has died after a long battle with cancer.  He was 75.


Milson’s epic 5-decade career started in his native Sydney as a child actor for radio dramas.  By
1971, he moved to Perth to direct a Gilbert & Sullivan Society
show, and went on to establish himself as one of the giants of the WA
theatre scene.
