Uni can’t afford art with a conscience

Art with a social conscience has fallen victim to a university with an economic agenda, say students and staff.

The University of Melbourne has announced it will discontinue all programs and operations at its Centre for Cultural Partnerships (CCP)  after 31 December, 2016.

The University says it cannot afford to continue the Centre which is not aligned with its core values of producing artistic excellence.
