Broadside is the Wheeler Centre’s new feminist ideas festival. On 9 and 10 November at the Melbourne Town Hall, Broadside is two days of unabashedly feminist programming, spotlighting a remarkable line-up of international and local speakers and presenting a powerfully feminist agenda. It’s all about smart, funny and passionate people sharing their expertise and their stories.
Broadside’s Festival Director, Tam Zimet says: ‘There is no single way to be a woman in the world, and no single way to be a feminist. With Broadside, we're extremely proud to present an extraordinary line-up of people who move us, inspire us and delight us. This November is going to be a unique celebration of the many voices of feminism, of the power of conversation, and of those who are unapologetically getting shit done.’
Our line-up includes Monica Lewinsky, Zadie Smith, Jamila Rizvi, Courtney Barnett, Jia Tolentino, Nayuka Gorrie, Tressie McMillan Cottom, Curtis Sittenfeld, Raquel Willis, Helen Garner, Fatima Bhutto and many more brilliant feminists.
