Ahimsa was designed and built in 1937 by Marie Byles - an explorer, avid bushwalker, and the first practising female solicitor in New South Wales. Marie Byles was also an original member of the Buddhist Society NSW.
To celebrate the National Trust (NSW)'s 75th Anniversary and the inspirational story of Marie Byles, visitors will have a rare opportunity to visit the 3.5 acre property of Ahimsa, located in the leafy northern suburb of Sydney, Cheltenham. Those visiting for the day will learn about mindfulness, wellness and get to explore the bushland. Hardy footware is recommended and capacity is limited, so be sure to register that you will visiting soon.
