Imagine... Danger! (2016): Cornelia Parker documentary

Step behind-the-scenes as artist Cornelia Parker shows you her creative process, as she delves into her past, America’s history, cinema and art.

Before you see our mind-blowing 2019/2020 Sydney International Art Series exhibition Cornelia Parker, find out more about the artist at one of our free documentary screenings of Imagine... Danger! (2016). The film enters the artist’s studio during the most high-profile commission of her career. Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s film Psycho (1960), Parker’s Transitional Object (PsychoBarn) (2016) stood just under 10 metres’ tall on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Also, see some of Parker’s works explained, including Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View(1991) and War Room (2015), both of which will be exhibited in our galleries this summer.
