The biennial Percival Portrait Prize is North Queensland’s own portrait competition. Having begun in 2007, The Percivals is an open competition for artists locally, nationally, and even international artists.
The Percivals includes three categories of competition and exhibition, The Percival Portrait Painting Prize, the Percival Photographic Portrait Prize, and the Percival Animal Portrait Prize, totalling in $54,000 in prize money. This year, all three prizes are exhibited together at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery. You can view the virtual tour, winning announcements, and jufges' talks online here.
