Beyond the Sand Arts Festival

Beyond the Sand will transform Surfers Paradise into a captivating beachfront gallery of colour, movement and music across nine spectacular days and nights, 13-21 March 2021.

The free multi-medium arts festival will host the world premiere of internationally renowned Australian artist, Amanda Parer, as she unveils her biggest art installation ‘Lost’, a never before seen larger-than-life artwork featuring rare botanicals that will be scattered throughout Surfers Paradise, transforming the beachfront into a vibrant floral inspired wonderland.

In 2021, the festival will go beyond its existing offerings with the eight large-scale botanical installations, unique artworks from up-and-coming artists, and the annual Australian Sand Sculpting Championships. Beyond the Sand’s vibrant array of installations and activations are perfect for art lovers to immerse themselves in and snap a pic for their socials. Visitors and local residents are invited to come in early and stay late to take in all the Gold Coast arts community has to offer.
