ArtScreen 2021 Launch

ArtScreen 2021 is a new production initiative for artists and filmmakers with disability which aims to create compelling new video artworks which will premiere at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art in 2021 and potentially screen on  innovative video art streaming service Prototype.

This online launch event will introduce interested applicants to the initiative, reveal the ArtScreen 2021 mentors and provide details of how to access production funding.

ArtScreen 2020 Premiere

This event will also include the world premiere screening of Little Things Matter, a provocative social critique of the dehumanisation of people with dwarfism by artist Debra Keenahan. This artwork was created by Debra as part of this year’s ArtScreen 2020 video artwork initiative (pictured above).

Following the screening. Debra will be interviewed by her ArtScreen mentor Dr Zanny Begg. Debra will also speak with students Michael and Shay from inclusive film school Bus Stop Films, Accessible Film Studies Program who crewed on Debra’s project.
