BrightSparks @ Home

Free Online Creative Learning Activities for Kids!

School is back, but not as we know it. NRCG will be sharing online resources and opportunities to encourage our whole community to get creative while at home.
The BrightSparks @ Home online program is set up to support creative learning for kids at home until we can deliver our afterschool and school holiday programs at Ignite Studios.

We invite parents and teachers to sign up to receive our free weekly BrightSparks @ Home  creative activities directly to your inbox as a resource for creative online schooling.

Each weekly activity sheet will include step by step instructions and tips for parents and teachers to help guide children through fun learning activities exploring art-making, art appreciation and creative writing.

Developed by professional educators for students between for ages 8-15, activities have been adapted from NRCG schools engagement programs (1,000 Words Arts and Literacy and Bright Sparks programs) and are based on two broad themes:
Arts and Literacy (Arts appreciation, vocabulary enrichment and creative writing – asking how a picture can tell a 1000 words)
Art and Environment (creating art from found materials and exploring sustainability)

We’ll be celebrating your at-home creations through Ap[art] on our social media platforms.
