MTalks—AIA, AILA and PIA present 'Indigenous Cultural Inclusion: How are we engaging?'

Fri 22 Nov 2019, 1pm—2.30pm

In May, Ken Wyatt became the first Indigenous Australian to hold the role of Minister for Indigenous Affairs, and the first to sit in Cabinet. Since 2018, several Australian universities have also created new leadership roles for Indigenous advisers. This has coincided with the development of major new works that embed Indigenous cultures, knowledge and practices in campus development. This panel session focuses on emergent thinking and work across a broad range of contexts, with a focus on where we might and must go in future. This panel invites cross-sector participants from planning, architecture, landscape, property and construction to discuss practical examples of meaningful and inspiring engagement and/or outcomes.

Developed in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Architects, Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and the Planning Institute of Australia.
